What is this approach?
All on Four and All on Six are planning approaches intended to replace missing teeth in one jaw with a prosthesis supported by four or six implants. The number of implants and design of the prosthesis are not the same for every patient.
What is assessed during the examination?
Gum and bone health, the bite, general health, current medications and the person’s expectations are reviewed. Imaging is used when needed and alternative treatments are explained.
How are the stages planned?
After an initial assessment, implant positions, the surgical stage and the plan for a temporary or permanent prosthesis are determined. Healing and completion times depend on individual circumstances.
Long-term care
Daily cleaning around the implants and prosthesis, the aids recommended by the clinician and regular check-ups are important. A clinician should assess a broken or loose prosthesis or tenderness around an implant.
Frequently asked questions
Does everyone receive fixed teeth on the same day?
No. When a temporary or permanent prosthesis can be placed depends on the condition of the implants and individual assessment.
Which option is right for me?
The number of implants, type of prosthesis and alternatives can only be determined after a clinical assessment.
